N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Public Service Commission (PCS) will be holding a public hearing on Monday, November 20th in Ellendale regarding the Foxtail Wind Farm Project in Dickey County.
The project will be constructed and operated by Xcel Energy, pending Commission approval for transfer of the site certificate. The project will have a generating capacity of up to 150 megawatts and will consist of up to 75 turbines.
“Associated facilities will include access roads, underground electrical collection systems and cabling, a collection substation, an operations and maintenance building, a meteorological evaluation tower, a construction laydown area, a batch plant, and a switchyard,” the PSC reports.
The project area will take around 31 square miles in Western Dickey County.
The hearing provides an opportunity for members of the public to contribute to the PSC’s official record. Any comments from members of the public must be received at the hearing to be part of the record. People with concerns, questions or support/opposition for the project are encouraged to attend the hearing and present their information.
