N.D. (JimmieAthletics.com) – Matt Young (JR/Woodland, Wash.) won his third consecutive North Star Athletic Association cross country title and the Jimmie men finished 5th at the NSAA Cross Country Championship Friday at Parkhurst.
Young finished in a time of 24:34.7, 1.3 seconds ahead of runner-up Nic Ganzeveld of Waldorf (Iowa). Young’s finish qualified him for the NAIA National Championship on Saturday, November 18.
Daniel Palmer (SO/Royalton, Minn.) was the second Jimmie to finish, taking 23rd in a time of 27:52.7.
Donavan Moser (SR/Medina, N.D.) was 24th with a time of 27:57.1
Aaron Ford (JR/Jamestown, N.D.) took 26th in 28:00.5.
Dustin Wagner (FR/Jamestown, N.D.) came in 29th with a time of 28:36.9.
Dakota Wagner (JR/Jamestown, N.D.) placed 33rd in 29:00.0.
Michael Sampers (SR/Rosemount, Minn.) was 34th, crossing the line in 29:08.0.
Dickinson State (N.D.) won the team title with 43 points. Valley City State (N.D.) was second with 66 points and Dakota State (S.D.) third with 75 points.
