(NewsDakota.com) Senior Halley Uehran had a team high 24 kills and three stuff blocks to help the Thunder of Medina/Pingree/Buchanan hand the Loboes of LaMoure/Litchville/Marion their first loss of the season, 3-2 (25-20, 17-25, 21-25, 25-21, 15-13). MPB improves to 31-3, LLM drops to 36-1. The Loboes streak of winning 61 straight matches dating back to September 2016 also comes to an end.
Senior Anna Holen led all players with 26 kills, she also had three stuff blocks and three aces. Sophomore Ellie Holen added nine kills, and Kindra Hamlin had seven kills and five aces. For the Thunder, Senior Taylor Sabinash had 14 kills and four stuff blocks. Sophomore Megan Moser had 11 kills including the match winner in the fifth set.
Next up for LaMoure/LM will be the District V tourney starting Thursday in Oakes, next up for MPB will be the District VI tourney in Napoleon starting Monday, Oct. 30th.
