N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – No one was injured after a pickup went up in flames at the Deer Ridge Apartments just after 9 AM Wednesday morning.

The Jamestown Fire Department was called out to a burning vehicle at around 9:18 AM. Crews arrived on scene at 800 12th Avenue NE. The fire was under control and crews left the scene after around 25 minutes.

According to reports, the cause was an undetermined mechanical or electrical malfunction under the hood of the pickup. There were lawn chemicals in the back of the truck, but the fire did not reach them.

The pickup was parked outside, so the fire did not damage any nearby structures or vehicles. The owner of the vehicle was not injured in the fire.
