N.D.  (NewsDakota.com)  Senior Captain Clayton Grueneich caught a 32-yard touchdown and ran for two touchdowns as the Thunder of Ellendale/Edgeley/Kulm beat the Falcons of Maple Valley/Enderlin 42-20 at Hendrickson Field.  No. 3 EEK improves to 6-1 in Region I and 7-1 overall, MVE ends their season at 2-5 in Region I and 3-5 overall.

The Thunder scored the first four touchdowns of the game, fullback Nathan Peterson had two early TD’s, both on first and goal in the first half.  With just under three minutes left in the first quarter, Peterson scored from 1-yard out. Later in the second quarter, Peterson ran in to the end zone from five yards out, he also caught two passes for 71 yards. Grueneich ended the game with 16 carries for 135 yards and two TD’s, he also had a 35-yard catch and run touchdown thrown from Senior QB Jacob Dewald. Sophomore Kodie Slivoskey was six for six in extra points.

For MVE, Senior QB Hunter Smith completed 15 of 25 passes for 182 yards and two touchdowns.  With time running out in the fourth quarter, Senior Dustin Kasowski rushed for a 70-yard touchdown, he had two total in the contest.
