(NewsDakota.com) It sure wasn’t an easy one for Oakes High, but they were able to earn a three sets to none sweep of Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter Thursday night.

Oakes (20-7, 4-2 Class B District 5) won by scores of 25-23, 25-18 and 27-25. The Tornadoes registered 34 kills, with Nicole Schmitz picking up 17 of them. Bailey Skjefte had two of the team’s five aces.

NGS (11-14, 3-2 Class B District 6) had 28 kills, eight from Kaylin Weigel. Abigail Bitz picked up four of the Imperials six aces.
