VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – An increase in moose sightings are being reported around the area as they being their fall migration followed by the rutting season for the animals.

Cheryl Foell captured this photo of a moose along Highway 9 in Barnes County on October 11th. Another moose was reported wandering around in Fargo this week.

The North Dakota Game & Fish Department issued a statement saying people should not approach the animals, just leave them alone.
