FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Oak Grove scored 14 points in the final 26 seconds Saturday for a come from behind 27-18 win over Maple Valley/Enderlin. The Falcons fall to 2-4 in the region and 3-4 overall with one game left in the season putting them out of reach of the postseason.

Trailing 13-12, MVE quarterback Hunter Smith punched the ball across the goal line with 2:13 remaining in the final quarter. A failed 2 point run left the score 18-13 Falcons. The Grovers were able to strike back when Kaleb Card connected with Luke Bergstrom for a 26 yard touchdown. Tjadan Anderson made the pat and Oak Grove went up 20-18.

On the ensuing drive Maple Valley/Enderlin moved the ball to The Grovers 41 yard line. Ben Hoggart picked off a pass and returned it 59 yards for a touchdown. Anderson hit another extra point and Oak Grove pulled away with the win.

Oak Grove was held to 238 yards. Dustin Kasowski had a forced fumble and recovery along with 12 tackles. Lain Combs collected 9 tackles. Brandon Pierce had 8 tackles and an interception. Special teams blocked a punt.

The Falcons produced 264 yards on 54 plays. Smith was 14 of 22 passing with 187 yards and a touchdown. Pierce was the lead receiver with 93 yards on 6 catches. Kasowski made 5 catches for 63 yards and touchdown, he collected a team high 53 yards on 21 carries. Pierce rushed for 14 yards.
