ROCKFORD, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The name of the man killed after being struck by a BNSF train Thursday has been identified.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that 61 year-old David Irmen was killed after he failed to yield to a westbound BNSF train on 58th Avenue. The train struck the passenger side of his pickup roughly 11 miles Northwest of New Rockford at around 7:15 AM. He was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no injures reported by railroad staff.
The crash remains under investigation.
