FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- In their week 7 match up, The Valley City High School football team will play undefeated Shanley on the road. The Deacons became the first team to beat Bismarck St.Mary’s when they edged The Saints 17-14 in Bismarck last Friday.

The Hi-Liners hosted rival Jamestown and fell 42-6 to drop to 0-6. For the young Valley City team Scott Roehrich has gauged his team’s success by their weekly improvements. Defensively against The Blue Jays, VCHS was able to hit their spots but struggled to finish plays, something coach Roehrich expects to come with time
