(NewsDakota.com) In a battle between the top two ranked teams in Class A football, it was the visitors and number two team who got the better of the first ranked team, as Hillsboro/Central Valley rolled past Ellendale/Edgeley/Kulm 48-14 Friday night in Edgeley.
HCV (7-0, 6-0 Class A Region 1) had five rushing touchdowns from Grant Skager from distances of 67, 71, 26, 44 and 40 yards; the first three coming in succession before the Thunder scored with a little over five minutes remaining in the second quarter on a 33 yard run by Clayton Grueneich.
EEK’s (6-1, 5-1) lone other score came in the third quarter; a nine yard pass to Lane Hanson from Jacob DeWald.
