FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Tate Sufficool connected with Benton Murray for a 65 yard touchdown 3 plays into the opening driving to put The Hi-Liner football team up 6-0. For Murray it was his first score of the season as well as the receiving touchdown for the team. Top ranked Shanley answered right back and grabbed the 7-6 advantage. They would not trail again en route to a 55-6 win.
Deacon quarterback Cade Busek found the end zone 3 times rushing while passing for 2 touchdowns. Also scoring for Shanley was Haley Bucholz, Max Busch, Jake McKeever and Cam Saville.
VCHS collected 199 yards of offense. Sufficool rushed for 35 yards, Luther Zeltinger 30, Noah Plagens 24 and Sam Beierle 20. Between Sufficool, Beierle and Kael Grebel, VCHS was 4 for 10 passing.
Shanley remains the only unbeaten team in AA, they are now 7-0 and travel to Wahpeton next week. Valley City is 0-7, they play in their final home game hosting Watford City.
