JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Mayor Katie Andersen is the newest president of the North Dakota League of Cities (NDLC).
NDLC is a group of city officials from across the state that encourage dynamic local leadership by providing education opportunities and myriad services to city officials. Andersen was voted in during the NDLC conference September 28th, 29th, and 30th in Fargo.
After some pointing fun at the NDLC website for some slightly incorrect information, Councilman Dan Buchanan congratulated Mayor Andersen for her new title.
Councilwoman Pam Phillips also attended the conference over the weekend and said Governor Doug Burgum and his Mainstreet Initiative struck a chord with her.
Mayor Andersen will be taking over the NDLC Presidency from Chris West of Grafton. She previously served as the NDLC Vice President.
