(NewsDakota.com) Freshman quarterback Garret Meehl had five passing touchdowns, and ran in for another, as the Oakes High football team rolled past South Border 50-26 Friday night.

Meehl’s rushing score came in the first quarter. He connected for two touchdowns with Ashton Biesterfeld and Kaleb Sell and one to Tyler Voightman. The 50 points scored by the Tornadoes (3-4, 2-3 Class 9-Man Region 3) are the highest Oakes has scored in a game since October of 2014.

The Mustangs (0-6, 0-5) had two rushing touchdowns by quarterback Mark Jochim.
