(NewsDakota.com) Macy Young had a team high eight kills, and Jalyn Fischer added another seven, as the Ellendale High volleyball team defeated Sargent Central 3-0 Thursday night.

The Cardinals (7-9, 0-3 Class B District 5) won by scores of 25-20, 25-13 and 25-16. Fischer lead the squad with five aces.

The Cadets (2-12, 1-6 Class B Region I) had Ashley Bladow lead in digs, kills and aces, with 19, eight and two, respectively.

Ellendale competes at the Lisbon-Enderlin tournament this weekend. Sargent Central heads to Lisbon Thursday, October 5.
