VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The first ever Hi-Liner news broadcast will make its debut Monday, October 2nd on the school district’s website.

The broadcast journalism class replaces the former print journalism class at Valley City High School.

Five students along with teachers Deb Beilke and Eydie Wagar are making the transition to guide students into the field of broadcast journalism. Beilke said students will gather and report news and stories of human interest.

Todd Ingstad of KOVC Radio said it’s a great opportunity for students and the station.

Tim Ost of KOVC Radio said the class will give students a head start for those interested pursuing a career in broadcasting.
