FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- The Spartans were able to find an answer for everything Valley City threw at them Tuesday night. Fargo North defeated The Hi-Liner 3-2(25-19, 18-25, 25-17, 16-25, 15-7) to earn a 2 point victory and overtake 1st place in The Eastern Dakota Conference.
Both teams had strong defensive nights,four Hi-Liners had over 20 digs,but coach Jill Taylor said Fargo North’s ability to adjust was the ultimate difference maker
Kacee White had 45 digs to lead Valley City. Macy Olstad collected 27, Cali Halgrimson 22 and Reagan Ingstad 20. The offense was lead by Halgrimson with 13 kills, Lindsey Noeske was also in double figures with 10. Olstad added 9 along with 5 aces while Mackenzie Pederson picked up 6 kills. Ingstad registered 33 assist.
Valley City, now 8-3 in The EDC, plays at West Fargo Thursday night. Pregame on KOVC begins around 6:50.
