(NewsDakota.com) For the third consecutive match, the Oakes High volleyball team earned a 3-0 win; this time over the Cadets of Sargent Central Monday night.

The Tornadoes (10-6, 2-1 Class B District 5) won by scores of 25-13, 25-13 and 25-10. The Tornadoes had a total of 16 aces, lead by Sadie Hansen with six. Oakes ended the match with 32 kills; Nicole Schmitz had the most with 13.

Sargent Central (1-7, 2-5 Class B Region I) had one ace in the match; earned by Makayla Bopp.

Oakes returns to District 5 action Thursday when they head to Barnes County North to meet the Bison. Coverage on KDDR-AM 1220/95.9 FM and NewsDakota.com starts around 7 p.m.
