N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Hillsboro/Central Valley shut out their 3rd team of the season and defeated Maple Valley/Enderlin 39-0 at their homecoming game at Hendrickson field Friday night.
Grant Skager put The Burros up 6-0 with a 23 yard touchdown run in the 1st quarter. HCV pulled away with a 20 point 2nd quarter with Skager scoring twice more and Riley Pederson finding the end zone on a 59 yard reception.
Hillsboro/Central Valley’s defense lived up to their reputation limiting The Falcons to 103 yards. Brandon Pierce paced MVE with 52 yards, 38 on the ground and 14 in the air. Hunter Smith went 4 of 19 with 38 yards and an interception. The Burros had 330 offensive yards.
Lain Combs registered a team high 10 tackles. Dustin Kasowksi picked up 8, Grady Karges 7 and Jack Bartholomay 5.
Maple Valley/Enderlin falls to 3-2 overall and 2-2 in Region 1, Friday night they play at Milnor/North Sargent.
