(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes High volleyball team earned a three sets to none sweep of Ellendale Tuesday night.

The Tornadoes (2-1 Class B District 5) won by scores of 25-18, 26-24 and 25-20). Oakes had Nicole Schmitz lead in both aces (four) and kills (19). Taylor Roney contributed two aces and 12 kills in the victory.

The Cardinals (0-3) had a team high eight kills from Klaire Loewen, while Taylor Krege had five aces to lead the team.
