N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – On October 16th, 2016, a large fire destroyed most of the feed store buildings at the old grain elevator in Medina.
Almost a year and $1.2 million project later; they’re back up and running.
Diamond W Feeds lost more than 60,000 bushels of corn and Purina feed products in the blaze. The business has been providing service to communities within a 125 mile radius since 2003.
The new facility was built for expansion and will now be able to store around 110,000 bushels of corn in two bins that were safe from the fire. In the outgoing side, there will be around five or six 4,000 bushel bins to hold other products.
