GRAFTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Valley City Cross Country took part in The Maroon and Gold Meet hosted by Grafton on Thursday. The Varsity Girls finished in 3rd place with the boys taking 5th.

Avery Murray led the way for the girls with a 6th place finish. Courtney Lloyd placed 10th with Carly Goven 19th and Eliza Schueneman 20th. Adam Punton was the top finisher for the boys coming in 6th. Buddy Scherr was 24th and Ethan Jenner 28th.

The junior high girls came in 2nd place, Stephanie Hoffarth was 7th, Sydnee Ingstad 10th and Amelia Meester 17th. The junior high boys placed 5th. Robert Fischer was 21st, Daniel Wintch 27th and Owen Plagens 29th.
