N.D.  (NewsDakota.com)  In a back and forth contest on Friday night, the Loboes of Lamoure/Litchville-Marion win in overtime over the Mustangs of South Border 29-28.  LLM improves to 1-1 in Region Three 9-man and 1-3 overall, SB drops to 0-3 in Region Three 9-man and 0-4 overall.

In the second quarter, the Mustangs scored first when QB Mark Jochim ran in from 2-yards out for the score and the 2-point conversion was good making it 8-0.  The Loboes scored next when QB Shay Ness ran in from 70 yards out tying the game at 8.  That was the story all night, South Border would score and then LLM would score.  With time winding down in the fourth quarter, the Loboes would tie the game at 22 when Ness punched it in on fourth down and after a couple a quarterback sneak attempts.  Then in overtime, the Mustangs scored on second down from the 10-yard line, and then the Loboes scored on second down from the 10-yard line making it tied at 28.  LLM would need just one point for the victory, Freshman Aiden Brown attempted the extra point and made it to give the Loboes the one point win.

For the Loboes, Ness rushed 14 times for 143 yards and three touchdowns.  Adam Haberman rushed nine times for 33 yards and a touchdown.  For South Border, Jochim rushed five times for eight yards and two touchdowns.  Payton Hulm had 17 carries for 124 yards and a touchdown, Blake Sogge rushed 11 times for 102 yards and one touchdown.

Next up for LLM will be in Lamoure against Strasburg/Zeeland next Friday night, next up for South Border will be a bye next week, and the week after at Strasburg/Zeeland.
