N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – While summer winds down and boats and ramps are removed from state waters, the North Dakota Game & Fish Department is reminding outdoors men and women to completely drain them of water.

Game & Fish Biologist Doug Leier says that Labor Day weekend is sort of the last big weekend for lake activities before boats and docks are removed. He says to keep in mind the seaweed and excess water when taking them off the waters.

Leier says that there has been no big news surrounding the nuisance species, which is a good thing.

On a side note, Leier pointed out that the Deer Archery season kicks off today and runs through January 7th, 2018.

Dove season also opens up today. You can catch Doug Leier every Thursday at 7:20 AM with JD in the Morning on Big Dog 95.5 FM.
