VALLEY CITY,ND (NewsDakota.com)- It’ll be The Hi-Liners’ toughest hurdle yet this season when the top team in AA and defending state champion St.Mary’s Saints come to town Friday night. In week one St.Mary’s kept Grafton out of the end zone in a 49-0 win while Valley City lost to Turtle Mountain 48-12. The Hi-Liners fell behind on the first play of their game but were able to respond right away and kept the game close early, coach Scott Roehrich was impressed by his young team’s fast start
Last season St.Mary’s held teams under 10 points in 8 of their 12 wins and return 5 defensive starters for their championship squad. The Hi-Liners know they’ll have to capitalize on any chances they get
Kick off is set for 7 with pregame coverage starting around 6:40 on KOVC. The booster club will be hosting a free will tailgate starting at 5:30.
