Schock, 96, Jamestown, ND died Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Marie Suko was born May 31, 1921 at the family farm home northeast of Alfred, ND, the daughter of Nathaniel and Fredericka (Entzminger) Suko. She received her elementary education in the local rural school and grew to womanhood in the vicinity.

She and Benjamin Schock were married December 14, 1945 at Aberdeen, SD. They made their home 12 miles south of Jamestown and farmed in the Jud/Kulm/Monango/Alfred and Ellendale areas until moving to Jamestown where she worked in the bakery of White Drug. She and Bennie both worked at Stutsman County Bank as custodians until they retired. Following the death of her husband in 1998 she continued to live in Jamestown, moving into Ave Maria in 2014.

She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her children, Darryl (Peggy) Schock, Rapid City, SD, Donna (Kenneth) Nitschke, Ashley, ND, and Darla (Brian) Schmuhl, Jamestown, ND; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 1 son, Kenneth; 4 brothers, Tavalt, Emanuel, Christ and Nathaniel; and 1 sister, Alvina Scheid.

Funeral Service – 2:30 PM Saturday, September 2, 2017 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Jamestown, ND, with Pastor Joel Winckler, officiating

Visitation – 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM Friday, September 1 at Haut Funeral Home, Jamestown

Prayer Service – 7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home

Burial – Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND
