N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown, along with the Jamestown Downtown Association and Chamber of Commerce, has set August 31st as the day for the 10th Annual Block Party.
The event will close down roughly 2 and-a-half blocks of main street Jamestown for booths that feature area clubs, organizations and businesses while welcoming in the new students at the University of Jamestown.
Event Committee Member Katie Roehm says that the event has become a huge draw for Jamestown.
One signifier of the event and it’s growing popularity is the booths that have been reserved for each business and organization. Roehm pointed out that 108 booths would line the streets this year, one more than in 2016.
Roehm also stated that one of the highlights is when the new students walk down the hill in their orange shirts.
