JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Members of the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and the Young Professionals of Jamestown held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Jamestown Regional Medical Center to celebrate the opening of their new healing garden, which is located on the north side of the facility.

JRMC CEO K.C. DeBoer and JRMC Foundation Director Lisa Jackson joined other staff and the chamber committee members in the ribbon cutting celebration.

“The healing garden was partially funded by a generous gift from Edmund, Florence and Daniel Kornovich,” the Chamber reports in their newsletter. “The expansion ties together a healing space for staff, patients and guests to walk, read and enjoy the outdoors. This beautiful and peaceful garden offers an opportunity to rest and relax outside the rooms and halls of the hospital, and is an excellent location for special events that the hospital hosts.”

Businesses qualify for a ribbon-cutting ceremony if they open, move, remodel, are under new ownership, change their name or are celebrating a significant event.
