N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Area Disabled Veterans of America members will be benefiting from a test drive fundraiser that could raise ,000 for their organization.

Adjutant DAV member Warren Tobin says the focus on helping disabled veterans live a comfortable life following their services.

Tobin reports that about 135 transition officers help disabled vets with their services including transportation.

To help support these programs, the DAV has teamed up with RM Stoudt of Jamestown and Ford Motor Company for a “Drive 4 UR Community” event on September 6th. Individuals will be encouraged to take a test drive for no charge with $20 then being donated to the DAV.

Tara Kapp with RM Stoudt says the maximum amount the event can raise for the DAV is $6,000.

Rod Olin, Coordinating Council and Legislative Rep for the State DAV, says Ford Motor Company has helped their transportation program for several years.

In the past 20 years, Ford has donated two vehicles for the local DAV programs.
