CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Maple Valley School District approved of a million building authority lease revenue bond to build a new addition for classrooms, a library, a kitchen and commons area at the school in Tower City.

Superintendent Brian Wolf said all students will be in one building next year. Wolf talked about the project with Steve Urness during our Voice of the Valley program including the tax increase for property owners in the Maple Valley School District under this plan.

Wolf said a ground breaking ceremony will be held Friday, August 25th shortly after 2pm. North Dakota Superintendent of Public Instruction Kirsten Baesler plans to attend the ceremony in Tower City. He said bids will be let and construction should begin in September.

Earlier, four school bond issue votes failed to pass a larger proposed project over the last three years in the Maple Valley School District.
