N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department was called to a fire at a detached garage just before noon Tuesday, August 15th.
According to Jamestown Fire Chief Jim Reuther, the department responded to 1213 5th Avenue Southeast to the fire, which was contained to a two stall garage.
Chief Reuther was able to discern that the garage was being used as a living space. It’s not known if the garage was occupied at the time of the fire.
Chief Reuther reported that he and Lt. Sheldon Mohr were on scene investigating until roughly 4:30 PM. He expects more information from the investigation to be released later this week.
The Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Jamestown Police Department and the North Dakota BCI. No injuries were reported. Six units and 30 firefighters were on the scene until shortly after 1 PM.
