N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The City of Jamestown is continuing to address issues with the ongoing distribution of the new garbage containers for residents.

Deputy City Auditor Jay Sveum reports in a release that crews from Rehrig Pacific have distributed the majority of containers to Jamestown single family households, mobile homes and most multi-unit housing facilities.

“It was hoped that all residents with the old green containers would have received their new brown containers by this time,” the release reports. “Rehrig Pacific has ordered additional containers and, at this time, the City of Jamestown is unsure of when the containers will be available for distribution.”

Currently, the City is distributing the original green containers to residents who have yet to receive the new brown container. The green container will be delivered to area resident’s front yard and can be used until the new containers are available.

“Upon completion of delivery of the new brown containers to all residents, container size change requests will then be carried out. We continue to request the public’s patience as we work to resolve these issues and any other concerns as they arise,” the release says.

Questions on the containers are asked to call 701-252-5900. For recycling questions, contact 701-320-9218.
