N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Fire Chief Jim Reuther has released the run report for the days between August 4th and August 10th.
According to his report, the department responded to eight calls for service in that time. Some of the calls included a vehicle fire, extrication from a vehicle, and grill on fire. Since the beginning of the year, the department has seen 176 calls for service.
Below is a run down of each call including dates, times, and descriptions.
Call No. 169 August 4th, 6:16PM, fire department responded to 311 5th Ave NE, to a report of a vehicle on fire. Fire was out upon arrival of fire units. Cause-engine malfunction. No injuries reported. Time out 15 minutes.
Call No. 170 August 5th, 3:02PM, fire department responded to 1011 10th St SE, Budget Auto, to a report of smoke. Firefighters checked the structure and no fire were found. Cause-exhaust from vehicle. No injuries reported. Time out 30 minutes.
Call No. 171 August 6th, 2:30PM, fire department heavy rescue responded to Hwy 52 Mile Marker 261, to a report of person/s needing extricated from vehicle. Firefighters extricate one person and assisted EMS. No firefighter’s injuries reported. Time out 45 minutes.
Call No. 172 August 7th, 12:20AM, fire department responded to 1616 4th St NE, to a report of a vehicle fire. Fire units arrived on scene and there was no fire. Cause-steam from overheated engine. No injuries reported. Time out 30 minutes.
Call No. 173 August 7th, 12:35PM, ready squad responded to 917 8th St SE, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate gas smell. Firefighters checked the area and detected no smell of gas. Cause-unknown. Time out 30 minutes.
Call No. 174 August 8th, 6:33PM, fire department responded to 509 m10th Ave SE, Single Family Dwelling, to a report of a grill on fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause-propane hose on tank. No injuries reported. Time out 35 minutes.
Call No. 175 August 9th, 2:55AM, ready squad responded to 523 4th Ave SE, Trinity Lutheran Church, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-water leaked on the fire alarm panel. Time out 25 minutes.
Call No. 176 August 10th, 1:43PM, ready squad responded to 701 3rd St NW, Anne Carlson Center, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-burnt popcorn. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 10 minutes.
