N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Police Chief Scott Edinger tells NewsDakota.com that more details regarding the investigation are not expected until Wednesday this week.
Edinger released the names later Monday afternoon. He reports that the male was Casey Gene Jensen, 33, and the female was Cherish Renae Petersen, 26.
Edinger says the baby has since been returned to family members as of Monday morning. Foul play has not been confirmed, but Edinger says a weapon was recovered at the scene.

Two bodies found in a northeast Jamestown home has led to an investigation by the Jamestown Police Department.
According to the latest reports, the investigation is very early and the identity of the deceased individuals would not be released. Foul play was also not confirmed. Jamestown Police Chief Scott Edinger talked with media on scene.
Police were called at around 5:49 PM Sunday evening after someone had found two bodies at 1906 4th Street NE. Officers found and removed a 3 month-old baby from the scene and placed them in protective custody. The scene was then restricted by yellow police tape.
The Jamestown Police Department is leading the investigation with assistance from the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department and the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
