N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Dave and Dr. Mandy Sorlie in conjunction with the Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) will be hosting the second annual Golf “Fore” Angels on Saturday, August 5th.

The event was created in 2015 when Dr. Sorlie created the Advocating for Neonatal Grief and Early Loss Support (ANGELS) fund. It was created to help defer the financial burden for families who have experienced the loss of an infant at the JRMC. Lisa Jackson is the JRMC Foundation Director.

“As a family physician, I have witnessed the pain and felt the heartbreak that families experience during the loss of an infant. My husband and I could not imagine being faced with a financial burden at the same time.  My goal in creating this fund was to help families with the financial burden so they can focus on grieving their loss,” said Dr. Mandy Sorlie stated in 2016.

Jackson pointed out while the cause is a very somber one, the event is fun for all who participate. It’s also for a fantastic cause.

The event raised roughly $7,000 in its first year. Find more information by visiting jrmcnd.com or by calling 701-952-4880.
