CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- The Boomers Corner Keg team played in the Women’s State Slow Pitch softball tournament held over the weekend in Valley City and finished 3rd out of 16 teams. On Saturday they won their first game of the tournament defeating Pleasant Ridge Dairy from Bismarck 12-2. They suffered a loss in their next game to Hugo’s Wine & Spirit/Papa Murphy’s from Grand Forks 7-12.

 Sunday was a long day for Boomers Corner Keg.Their first opponent was Moose Lodge from Bismarck  Boomers won 8-3Their next team was IDK of Jamestown  Boomers  defeated them 15-9. They picked up another win 9-4 over Blarney Stone/Taco Del Mar from Bismarck. Boomers had a rematch with Hugo’s Wine and Spirit/Papa Murphy’s from Grand Forks and this time defeated them by 10 runs 13-3

This put them into their 5th game of the day facing Rookies from West Fargo and lost 8-3 one game away from the championship
