N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Stutsman County Sgt. Matt Thom and his K-9 Dreamos were in Bismarck last week participating in the Midwestern Police Canine Training and Trials.

Sgt. Thom and Dreamos have been partners for a little over 2 years and have been participating in several training courses in the U.S.

Thom says a group of about 14 dogs took part in the training in Bismarck.

He says the week long training certified them in both narcotics detection and apprehension. Thom said following the training, competitions were held Friday and Saturday to test the dogs and handlers.

Officer Andrew Stoen and Oden also participated in the certification.
