N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – On Thursday, March 23rd, Governor Doug Burgum signed legislation that would allow law-abiding citizens to carry a concealed handgun if they have possessed a valid North Dakota driver’s license or state ID card for at least a year.
The Jamestown Police Department is reminding citizens that although this law does allow an individual to carry a concealed weapon in North Dakota, there are requirements for an individual to carry.
“We respect the laws and rights that are put in place, but also want and need individuals to follow these requirements and laws to keep everyone safe,” the department states.
