N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Museum continues to keep history alive with new additions that have been added this summer.

The Summer Stutsman County Museum Newsletter highlights new items that were recently donated by Janet L. Holaday.

“The Stutsman County Museum recently obtained a vintage doll buggy made in 1952,” the museum reports. “It has working brakes and hood and is blue in color.”

The Museum also received a vintage Davy Crockett doll along with his famous coonskin cap from 1955.

“You may recall Davy Crockett was a very popular TV series in 1954/1955 produced by Walt Disney Productions. The series ran between 1954 and 1955 and was then made into two movies; ‘Davy Crockett of the Wild Frontier’ and ‘Davy Crockett and the River Pirates’.”

The museum also received a vintage 1952 Brownie Doll with a Brownie Scout uniform.

“The generous donation was made possible by the good graces of Ms. Janet L. Holaday. It’s greatly appreciated,” the newsletter states.

The museum also received a donated Charles R. Robertson Tuxedo, courtesy of the Dave Robertson Estate. It was worn by Robertson while he was serving in the US House of Representatives between 1941 and 1949.

The museum is open Monday-Friday from 10 AM to 5 PM and Weekends from 1PM to 5PM through September.
