N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Earlier this month, teacher contract negotiations reached an impasse in the Jamestown School District.

The board has set an Education Fact Finding Commission Impasse Hearing for Tuesday, August 15th at 4 PM in the Thompson Community Room.

The planned hearing was set after negotiations reached impasse between the Jamestown Education Association and Jamestown Public School Board. The school board rejected a final annual salary increase offer of $750 for each year of the contract with an additional step increase based on years of experience and education level.

The fact finding commission will consider facts and appoint a factfinder to make a recommendation within 40 days from the starting process. It will then make a recommendation to the School Board and Jamestown Education Association.
