(NewsDakota.com) The LaMoure Babe Ruth baseball team saw their season end Saturday afternoon with a 5-1 defeat at the hands of Langdon.
Langdon scored a run in the first, added another one in the fourth and broke the game open in the sixth with three runs on four hits. LaMoure didn’t score until the bottom of the seventh with two men out.
Langdon, who has only lost two games the entire season, had a solid outing from Ethan Sampson; who threw a four-hitter in six innings, while striking out five. LaMoure’s Wyatt Paranto took the tough-luck loss, lasting five innings, with seven strikeouts.
At the plate, Langdon’s Riley Johnson had a triple, double and single. LaMoure’s Alan Zwirner registered two hits, and Mac Bierman had an RBI double.
