N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run report for the dates between July 21st and 27th.
Jamestown Fire Chief Jim Reuther included in his report that only five calls for service came through in the past week. This brings the total calls for 2017 to 16o. Below is the full calls for service that includes dates, times and descriptions of each call.
Call No. 155 July 21st, 5:27PM, ready squad responded to 1104 25th St SW, Edgewood Assisted Living, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire was reset. Time out 20 minutes.
Call No. 156 July 22nd, 12:06AM, fire department responded to 721 11th Ave SW, to a report of an power transformer on fire. Firefighters secured the area until Otter Tail Power Company arrived on scene. No injuries reported. Time out 1 hour.
Call No. 157 July 23rd, 8:36AM, ready squad responded to 919 4th Ave NE, Single Family Dwelling, to check for carbon monoxide. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0 ppm was detected. Cause-faulty detector. Time out 35 minutes.
Call No. 158 July 23rd, 6:19PM, ready squad responded to 610 7th Ave NE, U of J, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-unknown. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 20 minutes.
Call No. 159 July 24th, 3:41PM, ready squad responded to 621 1st Ave North, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate strange odor. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-ceiling fan shorting out. Time out 15 minutes.
Call No. 160 July 25th, 11:06AM, ready squad responded to 701 Westminster Lane, U of J, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-construction dust. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 30 minutes.
