N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred during a physical altercation early Saturday morning.

Sgt. Brian Miller reports that at 4:08 AM Saturday, officers responded to a residence in northwest Jamestown to two men fighting. One man was stabbed by a knife and transported by ambulance to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center. The man had a wound to his lower left abdomen and was listed in stable condition Saturday morning.

Police believe alcohol to be a factor. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were allegedly located on one of the men involved in the incident. Sgt. Miller reports that an arrest was made in the case.

Names are being withheld due to the ongoing criminal investigation.
