N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers increased their releases in the Jamestown area Thursday afternoon.
Pipestem Dam Manager Bob Martin says changes were made based on higher inflows to the reservoir from rain fall amounts to the North. He says as of Thursday, Jamestown Dam releases were increased from 70 CFS to 125 CFS.
Martin pointed out that both Pipestem Dam and Jamestown Reservoir were still in the flood storage area.
Combined releases are now at 455 cfs through the James River in Jamestown.
