CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Three people from Valley City were seriously injured in a rollover about 8 miles south of Valley City Sunday night on County road 21.

Barnes County Sheriff Randy McClaflin said when deputies arrive on the scene two people had been ejected from a pickup and another was trapped inside the vehicle after it rolled multiple times.  

He said the driver of the pickup a 17 year old Valley City boy and his passenger a 17 year-old Valley City girl had to be air lifted to a Fargo hospital. Their condition has not been released.

McClaflin said the second passenger was 18 year-old Brighton Smith of Valley City. He was transported to CHI Mercy Hospital for treatment of his injuries.  The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The photos were submitted to NewsDakota.com by the Barnes County Sheriff’s Department.
