N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Aeronautics Commission has released their latest boarding’s report and have found a positive change in numbers from previous months.

Numbers for the month of June came in at around 88,190 total passengers, an increase of about 2% from June 2016. Six of the eight commercial service airports in North Dakota have also reported growth for the month. This marks the second month in a row that the state saw an increase in monthly boarding’s according to Director Kyle Wanner.

“Seeing growth once again taking place in our airport boarding’s throughout the state is a great sign for our communities,” Wanner stated. “Airline boarding numbers can be an early indicator of the health of the state’s economy and an increase in passengers helps to drive improved air service and economic growth.”

Jamestown Regional Airport saw around 1,220 passengers in June of this year, up from 999 the same time a year ago. The airports total for the year now stands at around 6,592 which is 1,270 more than in 2016 at the same time.
