N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two were injured following a crash roughly 10 miles west of Galesburg Tuesday.

The Highway Patrol reports that at around 7:16 AM, a Chevy Malibu traveling westbound on Steele County Road 1 approached an intersection where a Chevy Silverado was traveling southbound. The Silverado was required to yield, but failed to do so and struck the Malibu.

The front of the Silverado struck the passenger side of the Malibu. The Malibu left the roadway and came to rest upright on the edge of a cornfield. The Silverado left the road and landed in a cornfield, overturning but left upright.

37 year-old Bekka Dahl of Page was not injured, but an 8 year-old juvenile male needed to be taken by life flight to Sanford Hospital in Fargo. Silverado driver Ryan Ust of Portland, ND was also injured and was taken to a medical facility via a personal vehicle. He was charged with Failure to Yield.
