CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Folks will notice some changes to the river level in Valley City over the next several days.

Baldhill Dam Resource Manager Rich Schueneman says the river will be lowered to conduct a survey starting next week. He says river flows will increase this week in Valley City but will be lowered to 100 cubic feet per second starting Monday, July 17th for survey crews to conduct their work.

Schueneman says once the surveys are completed the release at Baldhill Dam will be bumped up to 800 cfs.

The following photos taken in June of 2017 show erosion along the bank of the Sheyenne River in Valley City near the Old Mill Dam site.
